Safety — Overview
Site safety management for construction — toolbox talks, safety walks, permits to work, and incident investigation, with a live hub and configurable policies.
Safety is where you run day-to-day site safety on your project. Deliver pre-work toolbox talks, walk the site and log observations, authorise hazardous work with permits, and report and investigate incidents — all tracked through their own workflows and rolled up into a single Safety Hub.

What's Inside
| Area | What It Handles | When You'll Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Safety Hub | KPIs, a needs-attention feed, and the 8-week incident trend | Starting your day — see open incidents, expiring permits, and talks awaiting sign-off |
| Toolbox Talks | Pre-work safety briefings with a cascade sign-off | Recording who was briefed and routing the talk for acknowledgement |
| Safety Walks | Ad-hoc site walks with severity-rated observations | Walking the site and logging hazards, good practice, and findings |
| Permits to Work | Time-bound authorisations for hazardous activities | Requesting and approving hot work, work at height, excavation, and more |
| Incidents | Report → investigate → close, with a guarded close-out | Reporting near misses and injuries and tracking corrective actions |
| Policies | Org and project rules for each safety workflow | Setting cascade roles, escalation thresholds, and close-out gates |
How the Pieces Connect
Each safety area works on its own, but they also feed each other. A safety walk observation can become a safety issue or escalate straight to an incident. A rejected permit can raise a safety issue for the requester. Everything surfaces on the Hub.
Who Does What
Safety is designed for the field. Anyone on site can report an incident or log a walk observation, while sign-offs and approvals route to the right roles.
| Role | Typical Actions |
|---|---|
| Site crew / foreman | Report incidents, attend toolbox talks, flag hazards |
| Safety officer | Deliver talks, run walks, approve permits, investigate incidents |
| PMC / safety head | Acknowledge or approve talks in the cascade, oversee close-outs |
Field-first by design
Every safety list works on a phone — large tap targets, card layouts, and a floating action button to capture in the field. Permits, incidents, talks, and walks can all be captured from a jobsite without a desk.
Accessing Safety
- Click Safety in the sidebar navigation to open the Hub
- Sub-pages: Toolbox Talks, Safety Walks, Permits, Incidents
- Policies live under Admin → Safety Policies
Quick Tips
- Start at the Hub — the needs-attention feed tells you what to act on first
- Capture in the field — use the floating action button on any safety list to log on the spot
- Promote, don't re-type — turn a walk observation into an issue or incident in one tap
- Watch permit windows — active permits flag as expiring within 24 hours of their end time
- Tune the workflows — set cascade roles and close-out gates in Admin → Safety Policies
