Solid Ground
The second entry in the register is about the ground the first one stands on. Solid Ground is a stabilisation release: it makes what already shipped solid, and brings a rebuilt WBS with it. Everything below is on the Construction Hub web app.
| Area | What changed |
|---|---|
| WBS | One plan, seven lenses: Outline, Table, Board, Timeline, Calendar, Lookahead and Workload read the same items, and the lens you chose is in the link |
| WBS | Commit a baseline on one item or a whole phase; the Timeline draws each item's baseline under its live bar |
| WBS | The Workload lens measures each person's assigned effort against their own hours per working day and calls out who is over-allocated |
| Toolbox talks (beta) | The ordered sign-off chain can be worked from the web app; a return asks for a written note, the deliverer sees it, and the talk can be resubmitted |
| Dashboard | Company dashboards curated by an admin, personal dashboards you build for yourself, and Duplicate to turn any dashboard you can see into your own copy |
| Reports | Mark a finished client report as sent and it moves to the Sent register with the date it went out, where it can be archived |
| Inspections | The shared link carries the finished record: every verdict, the photos behind each one, and a Location Record of where each verdict was recorded wherever the device supplied a location, for single-party inspections too |
Safety and RFIs remain beta.
Improvements
- One register layout. The product's registers share one layout: a search box, and, where a register uses them, preset views, each with a count, and Filter, Group and Sort controls. In a phone browser each row becomes a stacked card. It covers Inspections, Issues, RFIs (beta), the Safety registers (beta), Approved Materials, the Daily Log and Resources.
- Help beside the work. The in-app help panel now covers the Portfolio Dashboard and project Dashboard, WBS, Documents, Materials and Reports, drawn from the same articles published in the documentation.
- WBS timeline. A drag on the Timeline lands in a review tray to apply or discard. Dependency lines, float and the critical path are drawn, computed on a Monday to Friday week with no holidays.
- Dashboards. Widgets count work by its workflow status: Completion Rate counts work items that have reached Complete, and Open Issues counts issues not yet Closed.
- RFI register (beta). Filter and group RFIs by status, discipline and priority; the discipline options are the disciplines your RFIs carry.
- Permit register (beta). Search permits by title, filter them by status and type, and group them by status or by permit type.
- Removing an approved material that has stock tracked against it names the quantity, and says the inventory item and its deliveries stay on the project but no longer point at an approved material.
- Removing a document confirms that it goes for everyone on the project and cannot be brought back.
Bug fixes
- Deleting a WBS item releases its code, and its siblings renumber to close the gap.
- A blocked WBS move quotes the workflow's own rule.
- The ten project roles with a seeded dashboard layout open on it.
- A seeded dashboard layout can be reset to its original.
- A single-party inspection shows its verdicts and photos on the shared link.
- Inspection photos keep loading on the record and on the shared link.
- Everyone on a project sees the same document folders and files.
- Add Approved Material lists your organisation's material library once, every item in it can be picked, and its division, subcategory and material columns all load.
- Usage entries, stock adjustments and QC results show who recorded them. Entries made before this release stay unnamed.
- At Milestones Only, an RFI's (beta) history shows its official response and its close as well as its creation.
