The Six Reports

What Progress, Issues, Inspection / QC, Schedule / Overdue, Materials and Project Summary each answer, and what they show.

Six reports, each answering a different question about the project. All six read live data and all six follow the same layout — headline figures, charts, then the records behind them.

Progress

Where does the programme stand?

Progress — completion, status breakdown, and every work item

A large completion percentage with a progress bar and a count of items complete, then Total items, In progress and Overdue. Charts: Status Breakdown, Completion Trend and Items by Type. The All Work Items table lists WBS code, title, type, status, assignee and progress, searchable by title.

Issues

What is still open, and how fast are we closing it?

Two headline cards — Open Deficiencies against the total, and a pair showing Closed and Avg Resolution in days. Charts: Priority Distribution, Status Breakdown and Open Items Over Time. The All Issues table adds Days Open, which stops counting once an item closes.

Inspection / QC

Is the work passing first time?

A Quality Pass Rate scorecard with the percentage and the number of completed inspections, then Total Inspections, Deficiencies and Pending. Charts: Pass / Fail by Collection and Inspection Trend. The All Inspections table shows the inspection, its collection, status, verdict, assignee, deficiency count and date.

Schedule / Overdue

What is late, and who is holding it?

Schedule / Overdue — three traffic lights, then where the lateness sits

Three traffic-light cards: On Track, At Risk (due within three days) and Overdue. Charts: Days Overdue Distribution, Overdue by Assignee and Overdue Items Over Time. The Overdue & At-Risk Items table lists WBS code, title, assignee, due date, days overdue, priority and status.

Start the week here

Overdue by Assignee turns the programme into a conversation with named people rather than a list of dates. It is the quickest way to prepare a look-ahead meeting.

Materials

What has arrived, what is left, and what has it cost?

A figure row: Materials, Total Spend, Deliveries, Budget Util. and Low Stock, which turns red as soon as anything qualifies. Charts: Stock Utilization, Budget vs Delivered, Deliveries by Vendor, Top Materials by Cost, Delivery Trend and Cumulative Spend.

Low Stock Alerts lists the materials whose remaining stock has fallen below a tenth of their budgeted quantity, up to eight at a time. The All Materials table shows budget, delivered, consumed, stock, rate and total cost per material.

Project Summary

One page a client can read.

The completion percentage and item count, then Open Issues, Pass Rate, Overdue and Material Cost. Two donuts side by side — Work Item Status and Issues Status — and two short lists, Top Overdue Items and Top Open Issues. There are no filters: it always shows the whole project, which is what makes it a clean snapshot.

This is not the client report

Project Summary is a read-only page for your own use. The branded, sectioned document you send to a client is a Client Report — a different thing, with its own narrative, cover and share link.
