Inspections — Overview

Template-driven quality inspections with multi-party review workflows, automatic punch item creation, and configurable policies.

Inspections is where you run quality checks on your construction work. Build checklists from templates, execute them in the field with Pass/Fail/NA verdicts, and route results through a multi-party review workflow — Performer → Checker → Approver — before anything gets signed off.

How the Pieces Connect

Templates define what to check. Inspections use those templates in the field. Failed items create punch items. Punch items must be resolved before reinspection can pass.

Multi-Party Workflow

Every inspection follows a sequential review process:

PartyRoleWhat They Do
PerformerField inspectorGoes through each item, records Pass/Fail/NA, attaches evidence
CheckerFirst reviewerReviews performer's work, agrees or disagrees with each item
ApproverFinal authorityReviews all prior work, approves or rejects the inspection

Sequential Review

Only the current party can record verdicts. The inspection must advance through each party in order — no skipping. Each party's verdicts are stored separately and form part of the audit trail.
