Full Guide
Search
The search box filters your inventory by material name. Start typing and the table updates instantly:
- Search is case-insensitive
- Matches any part of the material name
- Clears when you switch tabs

Category Filter
Click the Category column header to open the filter dropdown:

- Select one or multiple categories (multi-select)
- Categories available: Concrete, Steel, Cement, Aggregate, Sand, Bricks, Plumbing, Electrical, Waterproofing, Formwork
- Active filters show a visual indicator on the column header
- Click again to add/remove categories
This is useful on large projects where you might have 50+ materials and need to focus on a specific type.
Group By
The Group By dropdown lets you organize the inventory table into sections:
None (default)
- Flat list sorted by material name
- Best for: small inventories, searching across all materials
Category
- Materials grouped under category headers (Concrete, Steel, Cement, etc.)
- Each group shows a colored label
- Best for: reviewing stock by material type, checking category-level budgets

Unit
- Materials grouped under unit headers (m³, tonnes, bags, etc.)
- Best for: planning logistics (deliveries are often grouped by how materials are measured)
Combining Filters
You can combine search, category filter, and grouping:
Set grouping
Set Group By to "Category" → materials organize into groups.
Apply category filter
Click Category header → select "Concrete" and "Steel" → only those groups remain.
Search within results
Type in search → further narrows within the filtered groups.
Clearing Filters
When filters are active, a Clear Filters button appears. Click it to remove all active category filters and return to the full list. Search and grouping are independent — they need to be cleared separately.
