Analytics — Overview

Six built-in reports built from your project's live data — what the hub shows and how every report page is laid out.

The Analytics tab of the Reports hub holds six read-only reports. Each is built from your project's live data the moment you open it — work items, snagging and issues, inspections, materials and deliveries — so there is nothing to run, schedule or refresh.

The Analytics tab — six reports, each card carrying its own live figure

The Hub

Click Reports in the sidebar. The hub opens on Analytics, a grid of six cards. Each card names the report, describes it in a line, and carries the current figure that matters most for it.

A new project shows zeros

The figures are computed from whatever the project holds right now. On a project with no work items, issues or materials yet, the cards read 0 and the charts inside each report show No data — that is the empty state, not a fault.

How a Report Page Is Laid Out

Every one of the six uses the same chrome:

  • A back link to Reports and the report title
  • A date-range selector — one dropdown, defaulting to All time (not on Project Summary, which always covers the whole project)
  • Zero or more filter dropdowns, each a multi-select with a count when it is active
  • Clear, which appears once any filter is set
  • Share, which opens the Share & Export dialog
  • The report body: headline figures, then charts, then a table of the underlying records

Tables are searchable and paged. On a narrow screen they scroll sideways with the first two columns pinned, so you keep the identifier in view.

Questions

Why aren't my daily logs in any of these reports?

The six reports read work items, issues, inspections, materials and deliveries. Daily logs feed client reports instead: manpower, delays, safety, weather and photos.

Can I send an analytics report to the client?

Only as a file. Share gives you Export as CSV or Print / Save as PDF, and you send that yourself. For a branded document with a link, make a client report.

Who can see analytics?

Anyone on the project can open Reports. Each report counts only what your role lets you see: if your role shows you only your own issues or inspections, the report counts only those, and a kind of record your role can't read shows as zeros. Roles are set in Settings → Members & Roles.
