Reports — Overview

Everything your project reports on — the daily field log, six built-in analytics reports, and branded client reports you can share by link.

Reporting in PleoStack covers three jobs that feed each other. The Daily Log is the field record of what happened on site each day. Analytics turns your live project data into six read-only reports. Client Reports compiles your daily logs and project data into a branded document you can print or share with a link.

Reports in under two minutes: file today's daily log, then where analytics and client reports live.
The Reports hub — six analytics reports, each with a live figure on its card

The Three Parts

PartWhere it livesWhat it is
Daily LogDaily Log in the sidebarOne record per day per project — weather, manpower, equipment, work performed, delays, visitors, safety, photos and notes, with a draft → submitted → approved workflow
AnalyticsReports → AnalyticsSix read-only reports built from your project's live data, with date-range and dimension filters, CSV export and print-to-PDF
Client ReportsReports → Client ReportsA composed, branded document over a date range — ten configurable sections, cover branding, uploaded photos, a live preview, and a shareable link

How They Connect

Daily logs are the raw material. When you compile a client report, PleoStack pulls the daily logs inside the report's date range that have been approved — or, on a project that does not require approval, submitted. A log still in draft or waiting for review contributes nothing. The progress, programme, inspection, snagging and materials sections come from the same live project data that backs the analytics reports.

Accessing Reports

  • Click Daily Log in the sidebar for the daily field record. Both entries sit in the Reporting group and are project-scoped — open a project first.
  • Click Reports for the hub. It opens on Analytics; Client Reports and Sent are the other two tabs.
  • New Report appears in the header only while the Client Reports tab is active.

Everyone can read, not everyone can write

Every role on the project can open the Daily Log and the Reports hub. Creating, approving and deleting a daily log are separate permissions — see Submitting & Approving.

Next Steps

New to reporting? Start with the Getting Started guide — one day on site through to a report in the client's hands. Then:

  • Daily Logs — the register, the editor, and what goes in a log
  • Analytics — the six reports, their filters, and exporting
  • Client Reports — compiling, branding, finalising and sharing

Task guides for what clients ask for most:

  • Manpower Reports — crew on the daily log to a manpower summary by trade and company
  • Weather & Delays — recording them on the log and where they show in client reports
  • Progress for a Client — a Progress report export or a branded client report, and how to send it

Questions

Can I file a daily log from my phone?

Yes, in your phone's browser. It's a web app, and it needs a connection to save your work. If the signal drops while you save, nothing is saved: you see an error, the form keeps what you typed, and you can press Save Draft again.

Why is a daily log missing from our client report?

A client report only uses finished logs: approved ones, or submitted ones on a project with no approval step. A log still in draft, or waiting on the Daily Reports tab, is left out until someone approves it.

Does Reports send anything to the client by itself?

No. Nothing is emailed or sent on a schedule. You send a client report yourself, with a share link or a printed PDF.

Not a user yet? The Daily Reports, Reports & Analytics and Client Reports feature pages show each part in context, and where to book a demo.
