Organization Projects

The register of every project in your organization — open a project's settings, activate, archive or permanently delete projects.

Settings → Organization → Projects lists every project in your organization: Project Name, Code, Status, Members and Created. Group the list by Status to see Active, On Hold, Completed and Archived projects together.

To create a project, use the project switcher in the sidebar.

Actions on one project

Open a row's actions menu:

  • Settings — opens that project's Project Settings.
  • Activate — sets the project back to Active. Not shown when it already is.
  • Archive — archives it. Not shown when it already is.
  • Delete — deletes it permanently (see below).

Archiving and deleting

Select several rows to Activate, Archive or Delete them together.

  • Archive is reversible. Archived projects stay in the register and can be reactivated at any time.
  • Delete permanently removes the project and everything recorded against it: work items, inspections, daily logs, materials and documents. It cannot be undone. To confirm, type the project's name, or DELETE when you are deleting several.

When a project is finished but you may need its records, archive it rather than deleting it.

Only people whose role lets them manage the organization can open this page.

Questions

What do Archived, On Hold and Completed change?

Only the project's status. The project stays in the project list, and the people on it can still open it and work in it. Nothing is locked or hidden. Activate sets it back to Active.

Who can create a project?

People whose role lets them create projects or manage the organization. New Project only shows for them.

Can I get a deleted project back?

No. Delete removes the project and everything recorded in it for good. If you might need the records, Archive it instead.
